International Community Ambassadors Network (I!CAN)

Mayor Harvey Johnson, Jr. proclaimed October 1st Juanita Sims Doty Day of Service. Our friends and neighbors all over the City of Jackson, the State of Mississippi, the United States of America and, indeed, the world are invited to share with us in the Inaugural Juanita Sims Doty Day of Service as we perpetuate and celebrate the life and legacy of a Servant Leader.
The Day of Service was designed to ignite a Spirit of Service throughout our City, Our State, our Nation and Our World. We show what working together and providing service can do to improve our communities. We want to heighten the awareness of issues that plague our community and develop meaningful solutions, while inspiring others to serve. Additionally, we want to share with our youth the importance of perpetuating a legacy of service. Let us live the message: each one, reach one!
The objective is to SERVE!
Each year, three honorees are chosen to receive a contribution from the Juanita Sims Doty Foundation to continue a legacy of service in their communities. The honoree is selected each month and is featured on the, highlighting their noteworthy project/program. You could be next month’s honoree!
We look forward to recognizing you or your organization for the service you provide in our communities
